Hai Van Pass - Vietnam

The Hai Van Pass is an absolutely stunning mountain pass located on the border between the provinces of Thua Thien-Hue and Da Nang in Vietnam. It's a winding road that takes you through the Annamite Mountains and offers breathtaking views of the coast and the surrounding landscape. Trust me, you'll want to have your camera ready!

Mostly it is famous because it was featured on Top Gear.

One of the best things about the Hai Van Pass is that there are so many things to see and do along the way. One of the most popular attractions is the Hai Van Quan, a fortress that was built in the 18th century to defend the region from invaders. It's a great spot to take some photos and learn a little bit about the area's history.

Another must-see spot along the Hai Van Pass is Lang Co Beach. It's a beautiful stretch of sandy beach that's perfect for swimming and sunbathing. You could easily spend a whole day lounging on the beach and soaking up the sun.

If you're interested in history and culture, be sure to visit the Cham Museum. It has a ton of exhibits on the history and culture of the Cham people, an ethnic group that lived in central Vietnam for many centuries. It's a really interesting place to learn more about the country's past.

And finally, don't miss the Phuoc Tu Temple. It's a beautiful Buddhist temple that's home to a large bronze statue of the Buddha. It's a really peaceful and serene place to spend some time.

Overall, the Hai Van Pass is an absolute must-see destination for anyone visiting Vietnam. Whether you're a history buff, a beach lover, or just someone who loves beautiful landscapes, you'll find something to love about this amazing place.
